Up for sale here is a logo shirt from 45 rpm. 45 rpm always put a crazy level of detail into their pieces and use some of the best materials available, and their recent collections definitely don’t disappoint. This one comes from the 2023 spring-summer collection.
Silhouette here is based on the classic college tee, where instead of a team or university logo you have the brand logo. It is in the vintage style, and most people are not familiar enough with 45 rpm to know what it means, but it is definitely one of those things where you would get a knowing nod from those in the club. 45 rpm are probably best known for their selection of fabrics and attention to detail, and this shirt does not disappoint in either aspect. Material is a somewhat light weight knit cotton, done in a pleasantly uneven weave. It’s the kind of knit that develops character over time and will only get better with age, one of the characteristics 45 rpm pieces always strive for.
Details include their most recent happy face logo stamped on the interior of the shirt, embroidered “R” logo in yellow on the back, a split hem, and four embroidered stars on the interior to note this is a size 4 piece. 45 rpm puts a lot of effort into all aspects of their clothing. Retail tends to reflect this, where these shirts retailed at about $120 in Japan, and would have cost you well above that abroad. Get it here for the cheapest price you will find it around.
Size is labeled a 4 and fits like a large. I measure the chest at 21”, shoulders at 21”, and length at 28” from the base of the neck. The shirt comes in lightly used, excellent shape with no holes, tears, stains or obvious signs of wear. Made in Japan.
