Up for sale here is a hooded sweater from 45 rpm. 45 rpm is perhaps best known for their crazy attention to detail, vintage inspired designs, and expertise in indigo dyeing. While this sweater isn’t indigo, it definitely covers all of 45 rpm’s bases quite well.
What you’ve got here is 45 rpm’s take on the classic zip up hoody. Of course being 45 rpm, there is a whole lot of detail here in both the fabric and design. Fabric is a cotton thermal – essentially a thick, tightly woven knit in a sort of grid pattern. This helps with heat retention, making the sweater warmer than your more typical model.
Details include nicely contrasting red and blue zipper trim, as well as some silk screened printing throughout. This includes a logo toward the front, “908” on the bottom, and a small anchor on the right sleeve. Zip goes up a bit higher than usual, making for a higher neck with the zip. 45 rpm always produce in very limited quantities and are only available direct from their own shops. Retail prices are extremely expensive, but get a really nice piece here for the cheapest price around.
Size is labeled a 4 and fits like a loose medium or a slim large. I measure the chest at 21”, shoulders at approx. 21”, length at 26” from the base of the neck, and sleeves at 25” from the shoulder. The sweater comes in lightly used, very good shape with maybe some minor wear, but no holes, tear or stains. Made in Japan.
