For sale here is a pair of pants from the Japan Blue Jeans label. Japan Blue is one of the lines manufactured by Rampuya, the same company that does the Momotaro label. Both labels are very strongly jeans and indigo oriented, producing exclusively in the Kojima area of Japan, although the Momotaro label is probably more widely known and releases a fuller range. Japan Blue focuses pretty strongly on jeans and denim jackets, but the same high quality production standards are still very much there, as are the really detailed and unique fabrics.
These are Japan Blue’s “chef pants”. They are a loosely structured, highly casual pair of pants made for easy wear and maximum comfort. I suppose these are well suited for kitchen work, although they can work across a wide range of situations. Fabric is a 97% cotton, 3% polyurethane blend. It is a very soft feel, something like a lighter weight pair of sweat pants. Design is pretty simple, with two side pockets, one rear pocket an elastic waist band with a drawstring on the interior. There is a nice woven stripe pattern to the pants as well.
As with all of Japan Blue’s products, the quality here is excellent and no corners are cut in any way. These pieces were produced in limited quantities, and this model of pants is now completely sold out. Get it here at a fraction of the retail price.
Size is labeled a large. With the stretched waist, this should work well for a size 30 to 33 inch waist. In measuring the waist, it stretches out to a maximum of 34”. Inseam is 26” (unaltered), rise is 12” and leg opening is 8”. This is a straight leg fit, and the longer rise should add an extra one to two inches to the inseam. The pants come in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
