Jelado military cotton nylon hooded pullover, size M

$34.99 / Sold Out

Up for sale here is a hooded pullover from the Jelado label. Jelado is one of a number of Japanese “American casual” labels, producing pieces heavily inspired by vintage American work and sportswear. Jelado is a bit smaller than some of the other, more well-known Japanese labels and don’t have much distribution outside of Japan. They’re basically only carried by Son of a Stag in the UK, Corrlection in Australia and a handful of other shops in Asia. As far as I know, no one in the US stocks Jelado yet, which is a bit surprising actually.

Although their distribution is limited, Jelado’s quality is nothing to be scoffed at. Like the big boys (think Real McCoys, Buzz Rickson, Flat Head and the like), quality with Jelado is paramount. They have a firm hand on their products, manufacturing in very small runs with a really crazy attention to detail.

This piece is no exception. It is a heavily military-inspired pullover. Fabric is a 50% cotton / 50% nylon blend that is reportedly highly wind resistant. I am not sure what category this fits into – it is pretty light in weight but not quite a shirt, sweater or jacket. It is somewhere in the middle of all of those categories, where it works best as a mid or outer layer in the warmer seasons. I suppose this is something like a pullover windbreaker.

Details include genuine horn button closure, where the neck buttons quite high if you want and there is an interlocking system on the neck where essentially three layers of fabric can close together to really keep the elements out. Bottom has a drawstring to bring the fit to your preference, there is a large chest pocket, and drawstrings on the hood.

Like all Jelado piece, this model was produced in limited quantities with very limited availability outside of Japan. Everything is built substantial and made to last, and get it here at a fraction of the retail price.

Size is labeled a medium and fits true if a bit relaxed. I measure the chest at 22”, shoulders at 18”, length at 27” from the base of the neck, and sleeves at 24” from the shoulder. The pullover comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears, stains or visible signs of wear. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
