Sage de Cret plaid wool blazer, patchwork lining, made in Japan, size M

$39.99

Up for sale here is a jacket from Japanese label Sage de Cret. Sage de Cret have been around since 2001, although they are one of those more cultish labels that produces in small quantities and has limited international distribution. With Sage de Cret the emphasis is mainly on reimagining classic military wear. Think of a lot of khakis, military greens and military silhouettes and you get the general idea, although these are not straight reproductions. Quality is stepped up considerably, where they are fond of garment dyeing their clothing and incorporating all kinds of interesting details.

This piece is something a bit different from Sage de Cret, where they are referencing classic tailoring here more than military wear. We have a fairly traditional blazer silhouette here, differentiating itself with an excellent woolen plain exterior and a patchwork lining. Exterior fabric is 100% wool in a high quality knit, while the interior is done in a patchwork cupro. Fabric has an intentional rumpled effect throughout, where it is meant to look nicely worn in. Buttons are all horn as well, and really no expense has been spared in the construction of this jacket.

If you are looking for something that is a bit subtle in its appeal yet still interesting this is a good piece for you. Retail was about $400 in Japan and more abroad if you could find it. Get it here at the cheapest price around.

Size is labeled a medium and fits true. I measure the chest at 20” / 52cm, shoulders at 18” / 46cm, length at 30” / 77cm from the base of the neck, and sleeves at 24” / 62cm from the shoulder. The jacket comes in lightly used, excellent shape with no holes, tears, stains or visible signs of wear. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
