Up for sale here is another interesting shirt from the Viridi Anne. The label is known as a sort of cult label in Japan, willfully obscure, producing in small quantities, but at the same time with a quality and attention to detail that is very hard to beat. Their aesthetics and designs tend toward the “darker” labels, along the lines of Julius or Rick Owens. Colors are dark and the fit is usually slim, although their most recent seasons have opted for a more relaxed silhouette.
With this shirt you’ve got yet another iteration of VA’s penchant for interesting cuts and fabrics. Material is a very high quality 100% cotton, light in weight with a highly textured knit. Fabric is all in a dark colorway, with shades of black, gray and purple. Viridi Anne really differentiate themselves with their cuts, where they often incorporate a lot of anatomic details to maximize freedom of movement. That’s the case here, where you’ve got a very anatomically inspired fit here. This is most visible on the back side of the shirt, where you can see a pretty intricate pattern around shoulders and arms. You also have the signature center back seam that the Viridi Anne often likes to include.
Size is labeled a 3. That is normally a medium, although the fit is slimmer in this case, more like a standard small. There is some stretch to the fabric but unstretched I measure the chest at 18”, shoulders at 17” and length at 26”. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
