Up for sale here is another interesting shirt from the Viridi Anne. The label is known as a sort of cult label in Japan, willfully obscure, producing in small quantities, but at the same time with a quality and attention to detail that is very hard to beat. Their aesthetics and designs tend toward the “darker” labels, along the lines of Julius or Rick Owens. Colors tend to be dark. Earlier VA pieces were produced in pretty slim silhouettes, although their more recent releases, including this shirt, aim for a somewhat more relaxed fit.
With this shirt you’ve got yet another iteration of VA’s penchant for interesting design. Fabric is 100% cotton in gray, in a somewhat light weight material. Fit looks pretty straightforward, although the twist comes in the back where the shoulder seam continues uninterrupted all the way across both arms. It is subtle, but one of those things that sets the Viridi Anne apart from the crowd. The brand’s more recent logo is also embroidered on the front, although this is also a pretty subtle detail.
Size is labeled a 3, fitting a standard medium well. I measure the chest at 21”, shoulders at 18”, length at 27.5” and sleeves at 24” from the shoulder. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears, stains or visible signs of wear. Made in Japan.
