For sale here is a pair of pants from Visvim’s 2012 “spot” collection. The spot collection is non-seasonal, where it is often their staple pieces that release outside of their seasonal collection. This was also a “FIL exclusive” piece, sold exclusively through Visvim’s Free International Laboratory locations. Visvim pieces are already hard enough to track down, but these spot pieces are produced in even smaller quantities.
Although these were a limited release, these pants are actually a pretty straightforward iteration of Visvim’s cotton chinos. Material is an extra long staple cotton, light in weight but nicely resilient. Fit is somewhat slim in the leg, which is a departure from more recent Visvim. Newer Visvim releases have a much more relaxed silhouette. If you happen to like the proceedings to be more slim, these earlier pieces are ideal. Details include aluminum buttons, a rear cinch back for fit adjustment, and white cotton waistband lining. These retail in the $450 neighborhood outside of Japan.
Size is labeled a 2, equivalent to a medium for Visvim. I measure the waist at 32”, inseam at 28.5”, rise at 10” and opening at the bottom of the leg at 8”. The pants come in lightly used, generally good shape. There is a small abrasion on the left leg near the knee (not a hole, but pictured). Otherwise no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
