Up for sale here is an indigo-dyed shirt from 45 rpm. 45 rpm is perhaps best known for their high quality materials, attention to detail, and of course their indigo products. Production is always in small batches, and their pieces are only available direct from their shops. This shirt is a great example of what 45 rpm is capable of, coming in an excellent medium weight indigo dyed cotton. The natural indigo 45 rpm uses naturally gives the shirt a pleasantly uneven color, one that gradually fades according to how it is worn.
The appeal of this piece is easily the indigo. 45 rpm makes some of the best indigo products out there, easily. This shirt comes in a henley style and a good number of interesting details. The body of the shirt is a dark shade of indigo blue, while the neck line, button placket, and side gussets are all done in a lighter shade of indigo. Button placket uses shell buttons, and neck tag is embroidered.
This particular shirt comes from 45rpm’s Umii line, their loosely naval-inspired collection. Quality, details and pricing with the Umii line are pretty much the same as the 45 rpm main line, just the tags are different. 45 rpm is one of those labels that has a strong cult following and are well worth looking into. Retail pricing on their clothing is extremely expensive, and their pieces are only available directly through their own shops, but you can be sure you are getting something special. Get it here much more reasonably as well.
