45 rpm indigo dyed sorahiko jeans, made in Japan, size 33 (fits 34)

$49.99 Sold out

Up for sale here is a pair of 45 rpm’s signature denim jeans. If you are into denim, 45 rpm is definitely well worth your time. They’re a part of the Japanese school of denim enthusiasts, making their mark in applying super high quality fabrics and attention to detail to vintage-inspired designs. While 45 rpm have their more traditional five pocket denim models, they are also pretty avid experimenters, combining indigo dyes and vintage production techniques with interesting fabrics and silhouettes.

In this case we have a classic 100% cotton pair of jeans, given 45 rpm’s straight leg silhouette. Fabric is approx. a 12oz denim, making for a good year-round weight. Color is a somewhat light shade of indigo blue, which should gradually fade and develop with wear.

45 rpm also differentiates themselves with their detailing, where these pants have an embroidered “R” on the rear right pocket, slanted belt loops, branded metal waistband button, zip fly, custom rear leather tag, and embroidered Japanese flag logo on the coin pocket. Also features 45 rpm’s signature selvedge detailing and chain stitching on the hem. These pants really pull all the stops and have all the detailing you would be looking for. Current iterations of these jeans run about $500 outside of Japan. This places 45 rpm in the upper tier of Japanese denim manufacturers to be sure, but you often get what you pay for.

Size is labeled a 33 and fits a 34 well. I measure the waist at 34” / 86cm, inseam at 30” / 76cm, rise at 11.5” / 29cm and leg opening at 8.5” / 22cm. The pants come in lightly used, generally good shape. There is a bit of sun fading on the left leg, although it is not super visible. Otherwise no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
