45 rpm indigo dyed striped gradation cotton shirt, size 3 (M)

$39.99 Sold out

Up for sale here is a shirt from 45 rpm. 45 rpm is perhaps best known for their high quality materials, attention to detail, and their indigo products. Production is always in small batches, and their pieces are only available direct from their shops. This shirt is a great example of what 45 rpm is capable of, coming in an excellent medium-light weight striped fabric.

The main appeal with this shirt is definitely the dye, where this comes in 45 rpm’s signature indigo dye. 45 rpm do some pretty interesting things with their dyes and this shirt is really no exception. What we have here is a yellow and blue striped pattern, where the blues are all done in indigo. The top of the shirt has darker shades of blue and yellow, and as you move down the shirt the colors lighten up. This is a pretty unique process and not something that you will typically come across from other brands. Being indigo, the blues should also continue to fade and develop with additional wear.

Other details are pretty straightforward for the most part. There are splits in the hem reinforced in navy blue thread, and brand logo has a subtle stamp on the neckline. Fabric is on the lighter side done in a pleasantly uneven knit texture, something they call “dekoboko” in Japanese, meaning uneven or rugged. It is highly breathable and the sort of thing that will only get better with wear.

Size is labeled a 3 and fits a medium. I measure the chest at 19.5” / 50cm, shoulders at 19” / 48cm, length at 26” / 66cm from the base of the neck, and sleeves at 22” / 56cm from the shoulder. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
