Up for sale here is a t-shirt from Japan’s Eternal label, one of the somewhat older and more established “American casual” labels operating out of Japan. Eternal steers pretty strongly toward denim pieces, as they manufacture a full range of jeans and denim jackets, although they produce a full range of clothing as well.
This shirt comes in a fairly dark indigo dye with an abstract grass scene printed on the front. Being indigo, the color should gradually fade and develop with wear over time. It appears that the nature scene on the front has been silkscreened on, using several different (but subtle) colors. This piece is actually part of Eternal’s limited Kurashiki range, produced in very small quantities and sold primarily at their small shop in Kojima.
Neckline is a sort of v-neck, with a wooden button and red button hole threading, allowing you to close up the neck if you so choose. Left sleeve has the Kura “倉” character embroidered in red (倉 is short for 倉敷 “Kurashiki”, the area where Kojima is located), while the bottom-left side of the shirt has an additional tag in Chinese characters. Neck tag has the same Kura logo, while the interior has the Eternal tag.
Size is labeled a “二”, corresponding to a size 2 or medium. I measure the chest at 20”, shoulders at 17”, length at 25” and sleeves at 25” from the shoulder. The shirt comes in used, generally good shape. There is maybe a minor bit of fading of the indigo, and a couple of signs of wear on the neckline. Otherwise no issues.
