Up for sale here is a pair of 45 rpm’s signature jeans: the Sorahiko. 45rpm is best known for their indigo dyed products, of which their jeans definitely take center stage. If you are into denim, 45 rpm is definitely well worth your time. They’re a part of the Japanese school of denim enthusiasts, making their mark in applying super high quality fabrics and attention to detail to vintage-inspired designs.
The Sorahiko is 45 rpm’s standard selvedge jean. Material is highly slubby and starts off a rich, dark blue color. Material is a 14oz Zimbabwe cotton, considered the highest quality of material available for jeans. This makes the denim a medium weight, good for year-round wear. 45 rpm also differentiates itself with the detailing, where these pants have a custom rear leather patch, embroidered “R” on the rear right pocket, slanted belt loops, custom stamped button fly buttons, and stamped, hidden rear pocket rivets as well. This is one of the more recent iterations of the Sorahiko given the additional embroidery on the interior of the waistband and the updated “R” logo throughout. I would date these pants as having been released after 2020.
Size is labeled a 32 and fits true. I measure the waist at 32”, inseam at 25”, rise at 10” and opening at the bottom of the leg at 7”. This is a straight-leg pair of pants, a bit on the slimmer side. It’s a timeless design that will work with pretty much anything. The jeans come in very good shape with minimal wear beyond their original wash. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
