Blurhms is a somewhat newer Japanese label, a part of the movement toward streamlined, minimalistic design paired with a relaxed aesthetic. There are a number of labels in Japan promoting this look, including Aura Lee and A.Presse to name a few, and Blurhms fits in quite well with this grouping. Materials and construction are some of the highest quality you can get, while the design opts for the essentials, putting the fabric and tailoring at the forefront.
This is a shirt-jacket silhouette, falling somewhere between a shirt and a jacket depending on how you like to wear it. Front has a five button closure using high quality, large horn buttons. There are two chest pockets, as well as two side pockets with flaps and subtle expansion gussets. Fabric is 100% cotton and light in weight, making this an ideal warm weather piece. You should be able to throw it on, cover all of your storage needs, and stay cool at the same time. Design is intentionally unobtrusive but it provides everything you need while ensuring maximum comfort at the same time.
Blurhms is one of those labels that manufactures in small quantities and has highly limited distribution outside of Japan (with very high retail prices). These pieces retail at around 42,000 yen in Japan and go for much more abroad. Get it here at a fraction of the retail price.
Size is labeled a 2 and meant to fit relaxed. This is equivalent to a standard large, although a medium or a small could easily wear it for a more relaxed look. I measure the chest at 22” / 56cm, shoulders at 18” / 46cm, length at 27” / 69cm and sleeves at 23” / 59cm. The piece comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears, stains or visible signs of wear. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $26.
