Cabane de Zucca Issey Miyake multi fabric shirt, size M

$34.99

For sale here is a shirt from Cabane de Zucca. Cabane de Zucca has a reasonably long history in Japan, going back to the late 1980s. Their parent company is A-net, the same company that produces Issey Miyake actually. They are sort of like a cousin label to Issey Miyake, often aiming for a somewhat younger demographic.

This shirt is a good example of Cabane de Zucca’s aesthetic, where they often take a cue from Miyake’s avant-garde approach. There are two main fabrics here, a solid burgundy and a knit plaid, both in 100% cotton and about the same weight. Cabane de Zucca have taken a sort of patchwork approach, where most of the body and the cuffs are in the plaid fabric, while everything else is in the solid burgundy. Taking things a step further, the plaid fabric actually uses a button down shirt silhouette, while the burgundy is more like a long sleeved t-shirt. This makes the bottom half of the shirt like a button down and the top half more like a crewneck. It is an interesting approach, one you won’t come across elsewhere.

Cabane de Zucca are pretty hard to track down outside of Japan and is in no way cheap at retail. These shirts cost about $200 in Japan, considerably more abroad and are now completely sold out. Get it here much more reasonably.

Size is labeled a medium and fits true. I measure the chest at 20”, shoulders at 18”, length at 26” and sleeves at 24”. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
