For sale here is a pair of work pants from Iron Heart. Iron Heart is probably best known for their heavy weight fabrics. Denims are typically 21 ounces (sometimes up to 25oz), rather than the standard 12 ounces. Shirts and outwear are similarly much heavier than usual. These pants are no exception. They are much heavier standard chinos. With Iron Heart you can almost always expect a heavy weight, and these pants definitely won’t let you down. Iron Heart make some of the best workwear out there right now, easily meeting or exceeding other heavy hitters like the Flat Head, Visvim or whoever you like.
With these pants I’m not entirely sure of the model. Fabric is similar to but heavier than Iron Heart’s IH-730 khaki pants, coming in a heavy weight cotton twill. I would put this around 12-14 oz or so I believe. My guess is that these are one of their many now “extinct” models. Iron Heart often makes very limited production runs of their products, and when they’re gone many don’t come back. Fabric is heavy but the weave makes it breathe pretty well. These won’t melt your legs in the summer, and are rugged enough to take a beating with no problem. Other details here include a chunky zip fly, heavy twill pockets, triple chain stitching and poly/cotton constructional stitching. The 730 retails at $330 outside of Japan. You can get this one at a fraction.
Size label has unfortunately worn away but this fits a 32 in waist well. I measure the waist at 32” / 82cm, inseam at 27.5” / 70cm, rise at 10” / 26cm and opening at the bottom of the leg at 8.5” / 21cm. Fit is classic with a straight leg, not too baggy or too tight. The pants come in used, very good shape. There is some minor general wear and fading with the interior tag faded as noted, but no holes, tears or stains. These are built super tough and should last a long, long time. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
