Kolor 2012aw wool/cashmere blazer, size 2 (slim M)

$39.99

For sale here is a jacket from Japan’s Kolor label. Kolor is another one of those brands that circles the Comme des Garcons universe. Original designer Junichi Abe worked for several major Japanese labels before founding Kolor in 2005 (he recently stepped down in 2025) and his wife Chitose Abe runs the Sacai label. With Kolor their emphasis is a sort of patchwork aesthetic combined with a lot of technical fabrics. They like to combine a variety of fabrics together, often leaving them partly deconstructed.

This is an earlier Kolor piece, coming in a more slim silhouette compared to their more recent relaxed fits. Material is an 85% wool / 15% cashmere blend, while the jacket is partially lined in the body and sleeves in a brown cupro. The wool/cashmere blend gives the jacket a very soft feel, also making it pretty warm. It works well as a an outer or a mid layer. Details include a different fabric on the lapels and darting throughout on the front and back. There is a two button closure on the front, with two exterior pockets and one interior pocket.

Aesthetics are pretty close in line with Sacai and the Comme des Garcons universe. Retail prices with Kolor are similarly expensive, where their current blazers cost around $1,000 in Japan alone. This is a rare earlier piece, available at the cheapest price around.

Size is labeled a 2, fitting a slim medium in this case. I measure the chest at 20” / 51cm, shoulders at 17” / 43cm, length at 28” / 73cm and sleeves at 25.5” / 64cm. The jacket comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $30.
