Up for sale here is a piece from the Or Slow label, one of the variety of “American casual” labels active in Japan, but one that has managed to attract a pretty strong cult following. Or Slow mainly draws their inspiration from vintage military wear, where they often re-work and reinterpret classic military pieces, adding their own unique stamp and aesthetic.
Here we have something a bit different from Or Slow. This is a denim pullover, dyed in their signature indigo and subject to a vintage treatment to make it look nicely broken in. This is a standard denim weight, around 10oz or so I would guess, in 100% cotton. It is a timeless fabric and applied to a more unique, relaxed silhouette in this case. The shirt can work well as a mid or an outer layer, and like any good indigo product it should continue to pleasantly fade and develop with wear.
Size is labeled a 1 and fits a relaxed medium. I measure the chest at 23” / 59cm, shoulders at 19” / 49cm, length at 27” / 69cm and sleeves at 21.5” / 54cm from the shoulder. The dropped shoulder accounts for some of the shorter arm length, where this should fall at about wrist level when worn. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
