For sale here is a button down shirt by Stephan Schneider. Stephan Schneider is one of the more perhaps lesser known Belgian designers. Although actually German, he graduated from the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts and remains based in Antwerp. Like many of his contemporaries like Ann Demeulemeester, Margiela and Dries Van Noten, Schneider produces at some of the highest levels of quality available. His label is also distinct in that he designs all of his own textiles. This creates an additional layer of design that is both more time consuming and expensive, but his designs are not available anywhere else.
In this case we have a button down shirt silhouette in a medium weight cotton knit. Fit is pretty straightforward, opting for something more classic than avant garde. Still, the tailoring is excellent. Textile design is pretty subtle, where there is an understated plaid pattern incorporated into the fabric weave in large blocks. Buttons are all genuine horn as well. These shirts retail at about $350, but get it here much more reasonably.
Size is labeled a 4, equivalent to a standard medium. I measure the chest at 20”, shoulders at 17”, length at 27”, and sleeves at 24” from the shoulder. The shirt comes in lightly used, excellent shape with no holes, tears, stains or visible signs of wear. Made in Belgium.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
