For sale here is a short sleeved multifabric shirt by Stephan Schneider. Stephan Schneider is one of the more perhaps lesser known Belgian designers. Although actually German, he graduated from the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts and remains based in Antwerp. Like many of his contemporaries like Ann Demeulemeester, Margiela and Dries Van Noten, Schneider produces at some of the highest levels of quality available. His label is also distinct in that he designs all of his own textiles. This creates an additional layer of design that is both more time consuming and expensive, but his designs are not available anywhere else.
Here we have a short sleeve silhouette in a pretty light weight cotton, ideal for the warmer weather. The front side has a multicolor blocked plaid pattern while the rear is a solid gray fabric, making for a nice contrast. Front has a two button closure using high quality shell buttons. Tailoring and quality are both very strong as you might expect.
Size is labeled a 5, fitting a large. I measure the chest at 21”, shoulders at 18” and length at 26”. The shirt comes in used, generally good shape. There is a small snag on the right shoulder area (pictured) and some general wear otherwise but no other big issues. Made in Belgium.
