Up for sale here is a really nice piece from the Stone Island label, one of the leading labels going at the moment, especially in terms of fabric development and dyeing technology. Stone Island have been active for quite a while now, originally designed by the highly influential Massimo Osti, and even now continue to push things forward in new and interesting ways.
This is an excellent summer weight piece, ideal for the warm weather. Fabric is 100% cotton, but fabric is very, very light. Interestingly, while the material is very light in weight, the stitching is quite sturdy, especially on the sides and shoulders. This extra weight for the stitching helps to maintain the shape of the shirt. Details include a henley neck closure with branded Stone Island buttons, contrasting dark blue neckline, and a discreet Stone Island logo printed on the back.
As with all Stone Island, quite a bit of work and consideration has gone into this shirt. The details are just right, and the fabric is completely unique. Retail on any Stone Island product is far from cheap, where more recent iterations of these pieces are in the neighborhood of $200 new (and could cost more depending on your location). This particular model is now sold out, but get it here at a much more reasonable price.
Size is labeled a large and fits more like a medium in my opinion. I measure the chest at 21”, shoulders at 18”, and length at 26”. The shirt comes in used but very good shape. There are two small stains on the button placket, but otherwise no problems at all. Made in Italy.
