For sale here is a knit cotton cardigan from Undercover. This one comes from the spring-summer 2012 collection. Undercover is perhaps best known for their high quality designs, combined with a very strong graphic sensibility and punk rock ethos. This sweater is a great example of both Undercover’s strong graphic sense and high quality design.
The main fabric here is a knit wool, coming in an alternating navy blue and white striped pattern. This is a fairly light weight cardigan, not necessarily intended for the freezing cold, but should work well as a year-round piece.
Design is pretty unique and characteristic of Undercover. The front placket comes in a solid navy, while the twist is with the incorporation of a burgundy and olive green fabric going around the sides and rear. The green fabric is intentionally frayed as well for a bit of a visual accent. Other extemporaneous details are minimized here, although you’ve definitely got a quality knit and the excellent tailoring Undercover is also well regarded for. These sweaters retailed at around $300 in Japan, and about $500 abroad. They’re now long gone as well, but get it here at a fraction of the retail.
Size is labeled a 3 and fits a medium well. There is a bit of a stretch, but unstretched I measure the chest at 20.5” / 52cm, shoulders at 17” / 44cm, length at 25” / 64cm and sleeves at 25” / 64cm from the shoulder. The sweater comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $26.
