Up for sale here is a shirt from the Comme des Garcons Shirt line. Comme des Garcons is one of Japan’s original avant-garde labels, along with Issey Miyake and Yohji Yamamoto, and arguably the best-known. At this point they’ve really cemented their reputation and have a whole universe of sub labels including Homme, Homme Plus, Junya Watanabe, Play, Black, CDG, etc. The Shirt line has been going for quite a while now. It differentiates itself in that they concentrate primarily on shirts, as the name implies.
So here we have a graphic logo tee from the Shirt line. CDG always has a great graphic sensibility, and while the design is pretty simple in this case they still keep it interesting. Front is a solid gray, while the rear has the logo in black. CDG is one of those flagship avant garde labels in Japan, and while they do have some international distribution retail never comes cheap.
Size is labeled a medium and fits true. I measure the chest at 20”, shoulders at 17”, length at 26” and sleeves at 24.5” from the shoulder. The shirt comes in lightly used, excellent shape with no holes, tears, stains or visible signs of wear.
