CP company vintage garment dyed cotton polo shirt, made in Italy, size L

$44.99

Shirt by the CP Company label up for sale here. CP Company is a sister label to Stone Island, both extremely well regarded Italian sports/casual wear labels. CP Company and Stone Island share a similar DNA, in that both were founded by designer Massimo Osti, both were run by the Sportswear SPA company for a considerable period of time (Stone Island still are), and both are all about unique fabrics and dyes.

In this case we have a short sleeve polo. This is definitely one of those unique dye jobs CP Company is so well known for. The shirt has been garment dyed a pretty unique and pleasantly uneven shade of olive green. Fabric is a cotton pique, highly textured in a sort of quilted pattern, which takes on different shades of the dye depending on how you look at the shirt. Front has a button collar, four button closure, and a single buttoned chest pocket with a tonal embroidered logo.

CP Company is all about quality materials, textile development, and applying new and interesting processes to their clothing. This era of CP Company was going for a more grown-up, sophisticated vibe, something to go along with the younger demographic that Stone Island was appealing to. Based on the art number, I believe this shirt comes from around 2004 or so. As with most CP Company pieces, these shirts were made in very limited quantities and were very expensive at retail. Get it here much more reasonably.

Size is labeled a large and fits true. I measure the chest at 21”, shoulders at 18”, and length at 26.5”. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears, or stains. Made in Italy.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
