Griffin studio blade cut t-shirt, made in Italy, size S (fits loose)

$34.99

Up for sale here is a shirt from the Griffin label, a conceptual label designed by Jeff Griffin in the UK. The label has been going since 1994, and while they’ve enjoyed cult status, they’ve flown under the radar for the most part. It’s a shame they haven’t gotten more popular since everything they do is absolute top quality and easily holds up to any of the big boys out there.

So in this case we have a t-shirt using Griffin’s signature blade cut. The cutting on Griffin pieces is second to none, and in fact they just recently did a collaboration with Supreme using all blade cut pieces. The shirt is essentially two layers of fabric sewn together, where as the name implies the outer layer is cut up with a number of artfully placed holes. The inner mesh layer and strategic patches help ensure your modesty, but as you might expect this is an excellent warmer weather piece given that it is highly breathable. Retail was crazy expensive and these pieces are now long gone, but get it here at the cheapest price around.

Size is labeled a medium, although this fits loose and can work for a standard medium with no problem. I measure the chest at 20.5”, shoulders at 18”, and length at 26” for the exterior gray fabric and 27” for the interior mesh. The shirt comes in used condition, where there are some stains visible on the front and back, as well as some loose stitching on the bad (which is pretty hard to see). Price reflects condition, and this is the sort of piece that looks fine with additional wear and distressing anyway. Made in Italy.
