Undercover 2011ss underman button down shirt, size 3 (fits M)

$44.99

Up for sale here is a shirt from Undercover. This one comes from the spring-summer 2011 collection, called “underman”. The season had a loose superhero theme, kind of like ultraman or kamen rider, which you could see in the lookbook pics. The theme didn’t really carry over to the clothes themselves though. Instead, what you had was a reasonably strong UC collection that the lookbook didn’t really do justice to. As such, this season has gone a bit under-appreciated in my opinion.

That aside, this is an interesting long sleeved button down shirt. Material is a fairly light weight cotton, done in a gray and white check pattern. Undercover is not a brand to shy away from adding unique little details, and this shirt doesn’t disappoint. For one, there are pockets hidden in the side seams of the shirt, not a typical detail for a button down shirt. Also of interest, and a bit subtle, is that there are somewhat oversized seams on the back of the shirt, the sides and arms that leave a bit of the seam poking out when worn. It’s one of those little things that Undercover likes to throw in that differentiate them from the pack. Bottom of the front has a season-specific Underman tag as well.

Undercover always produces in pretty limited quantities, and this model is now long gone. Undercover also rarely revisits their designs, so you can be sure that this one isn’t going to be finding its way back into production anytime soon.

Size is labeled a 3, fitting like a standard medium in this case. I measure the chest at 20”, shoulders at 18”, length at 29” from the base of the neck and sleeves at 26” from the shoulder. The shirt comes in used, very good shape. Only one thing to note: there is a small stain on the left cuff that’s barely visible (see last pic). Otherwise no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping via EMS from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
