Viridi Anne curved seam wool cardigan, size 3 (fits M)

$49.99 / Sold Out

Up for sale here is a cardigan from the Viridi Anne. Like a number of smaller Japanese labels, the Viridi Anne always produces in very limited quantities, only selling to a handful of shops. They have been able to amass a pretty decent cult following due to their intelligent, high-quality designs, but are pretty hard to come by even in Japan. I would describe their design aesthetic as somewhere between Julius and the Kazuyuki Kumagai Attachment line. That is, the Viridi Anne often has a darker color palette and attention to fabrics and details like Julius, while at the same time provides a lot of functionality and freedom of movement (while still maintaining a slim silhouette) like Kazuyuki Kumagai.

In this case we have a very unique cardigan, done in a 100% wool knit. This is a high gauge, medium weight fabric, ideal for fall-winter-spring wear. Color is a nice dark shade of gray. Silhouette is based on the classic cardigan but with a fair number of tweaks. Buttons are all metal and in a square shape. Neckline is partially detached, and front is a bit longer than the back. Rear also has Virdi Anne’s signature center seam.

Viridi Anne pieces are always made at an extremely high level of quality, produced in very small quantities and very expensive at retail. This would run you in the range of $400-$500 outside of Japan. Get it here much more reasonably.

Size is labeled a 3, equivalent to a standard medium. There is some stretch to the fabric, but unstretched I measure the chest at 19”, shoulders at approx. 19”, length at 27” in front and 25” in back, and sleeves at approx. 27” from the shoulder. The sweater comes in lightly used, generally good shape. One minor issue to note is there is a small repaired snag on the rear right sleeve (see pic). Otherwise no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $26.
