Up for sale here is a shirt from the 45 rpm label. 45 rpm is perhaps best known for their high quality materials, attention to detail, and of course their indigo products. Production is always in small batches, and their pieces are only available direct from their shops.
This shirt is a great example of what 45 rpm is capable of, coming in an excellent fairly light weight double-layered material. The external layer is a cotton gauze in a salmon/pink color, while the internal layer is a striped fabric. Both fabrics are pretty light weight on their own, although the combination of fabrics makes this more of a standard weight piece in my opinion. Details here include vegetable ivory buttons, embroidered “R” logo on the chest pocket, embroidered neck tag, and a nicely asymmetric chest pocket. Interior tag notes this as an indigo dyed product, although I don’t actually see any indigo in this piece. There may be some indigo on the blue stripes on the interior fabric, although there does not look like a ton. Regardless, there is a lot going on here and quality is really strong. These shirts don’t come cheap at all at retail if you can even find them.
Size is labeled a 3 and fits like a medium. I measure the chest at 20.5” / 52cm, shoulders at 18” / 46cm, and length at 25” / 64cm in the front and 28” / 71cm in the back. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears, stains, or visible signs of wear.
