Up for sale here is a shirt from 45 rpm’s main line. 45 rpm is perhaps best known for their high quality materials, attention to detail, and of course their indigo products. Production is always in small batches, and their pieces are only available direct from their shops. This shirt is a great example of what 45 rpm is capable of, coming in an excellent standard weight knit plaid fabric.
As you can expect with a label like 45 rpm, no expense is spared in their materials and production. This is particularly evident with the fabric here. The plaid pattern is actually knit into the material, rather than printed as some cheaper labels might do. Other details here include horn buttons throughout, signature “R” embroidery in tonal white on the bottom-left side of the shirt, and the somewhat newer woven neck tag and interior materials tag, making this no older than approximately 2018, and likely newer than that.. Size is labeled a 3 and fits like a somewhat relaxed medium. I measure the chest at 21.5” / 54cm, shoulders at 18” / 45cm, length at 27” / 69cm in front and 28.5” / 73cm in the back, both from the base of the neck, and sleeves at 24” / 61cm from the shoulder. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
