Up for sale here is an excellent pair of pants from the Agnes B label. Long well-regarded in both France and Japan, Agnes B has held a cult following most other places. She’s been at it since the mid 1970s, infusing a very French look into her designs. She produces with a very consistent aesthetic, using high quality materials and attention to detail like the best designers. She’s definitely well worth looking checking out in more detail if you’re not super familiar with her.
This is one of Agnes B’s takes on the classic dress slacks. Material is 100% wool and partially lined in polyester on the interior. This is a medium weight pair of pants in my opinion, where this is not a super heavy wool but it is still pretty insulating. Details include a button fly, waistband slider and some nice little tailoring accents here and there. For the most part the aim here is toward the classic, where this is an understated design intended to be easily matched and integrated with a wide range of clothing.
Although Agnes B used to produce entirely in France these French-made pieces are becoming increasingly rare these days. They are well worth checking out on their own and are quickly becoming collector’s items. Get it here at the cheapest price around.
Size is labeled a 42, fitting a 32 inch waist. I measure the waist at 32” / 82cm, inseam at 29” / 74cm, rise at 10.5” / 27cm and leg opening at 8.5” / 22cm. This is a straight leg fit, neither too loose nor too skinny. The pants come in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in France.
