Up for sale here is an excellent piece from the Agnes B label. Long well-regarded in both France and Japan, Agnes B has held a cult following most other places. She’s been at it since the mid 1970s, infusing a very French look into her designs. She produces with a very consistent aesthetic, using high quality materials and attention to detail like the best designers. She’s definitely well worth looking checking out in more detail if you’re not super familiar with her.
This is one of Agnes B’s many iterations of the classic blazer. It’s done here with a three button closure and a really nice 100% wool fabric. This is a medium weight jacket in my opinion, where this is not a super heavy wool but it is still pretty insulating. Details are pretty traditional for the most part, where we have two large side pockets, a chest pocket and a rear vent. The jacket is fully lined in a 60% acetate, 40% rayon blend. Overall, fit aims for a classic look, not super slim or incredibly baggy, but aiming for that sweet spot in the middle where you can match it with pretty much anything.
Size is labeled a 52 and fits like a somewhat relaxed medium in my opinion. I measure the chest at 21” / 54cm, shoulders at 17.5” / 45cm, length at 32” / 81cm from the base of the neck, and sleeves at 25” / 65cm from the shoulder. The jacket comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in France.
