Bedwin & the Heartbreakers cotton/cashmere cardigan, size 4/M

$34.99

Up for sale here is a cardigan from the Bedwin & the Heartbreakers label, one of the perhaps better known streetwear labels operating in Japan at the moment, although they don’t seem to have a huge level of distribution outside of Japan. That’s a bit unfortunate, as Bedwin are always ones to keep things interesting with subtle tweaks to otherwise classic design and with very high standards of quality. They remind me a bit of the Nonnative label in that way, although Bedwin arguably tend to incorporate more unique little details than Nonnative.

So in this case we have a medium weight black cardigan in an 85% cotton / 15% cashmere blend, making it pretty versatile, with a nice touch of that softness cashmere is so well regarded for. This is the kind of sweater that you can wear across most seasons and that will go with pretty much everything.

Design seems to be pretty classic, although there are a number of nice little details. For one, the neck tag has a second tag saying “raspberry beret”. In recent years Bedwin has been adding these tags, referencing different songs that have inspired the collection. This one seems to be a reference to the Prince song. Details include pockets with some embroidery on the right pocket, branded buttons, collection tag at the bottom and a red tab on the left sleeve. Needless to say, these pieces are not easy to come by at all, and this sweater stands above a lot of similar pieces I have encountered.

Size is labeled a 4 and fits like a standard medium in my opinion. I measure the chest at 19.5” / 50cm unstretched, shoulders at approx. 17” / 43cm (they’re raglan and hard to get exact), length at 27” / 68cm and sleeves at approx. 26” / 66cm from the shoulder. The sweater comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $26.
