Sweater by Kazuyuki Kumagai Attachment for sale here. The Kazuyuki Kumagai line, not to be confused with the Attachment label itself, is the collection line for Attachment. It’s basically their higher-end products, the stuff the designer puts his name on, what you see in the lookbooks and that sort of thing. The Kazuyuki Kumagai label differentiates itself with an emphasis on technical detailing, both in the selection of textiles and in the fit. Materials are often high quality knits, and detailing is highly articulated.
This sweater comes in a 67% cotton, 33% acrylic blend. It is essentially a double layered fabric, where the exterior is a knit gray while the interior is a black terrycloth. It is a medium weight piece. The KKA label is all about freedom of movement, and this sweater has definitely got it. While the design takes its cue from a traditional sweater, the rear paneling is what really sets it apart. The arms are designed for maximum unrestricted movement, while at the same time maintaining a slim silhouette. Most seams on the sweater are raw making for a nice contrast with the black interior fabric that pokes through on the seams.
KKA designs are always well planned and executed, forward-thinking but at the same time never ostentatious. The details are there if you look, but they’re not going to hit you over the head with them.
Size is labeled a 2 and it fits like a standard medium. I measure the chest at 21” / 53cm, shoulders at 17” / 43cm, length at 27.5” / 70cm and sleeves at 25” / 63cm. The sweater comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
