For sale here is a flannel shirt from the Bluco Work Garment label. Bluco is a Japanese label, heavily inspired by classic Americana and workwear. They make a lot of casual and workwear silhouettes, elevating the design and quality considerably in the process. Like the best workwear, everything is built heavy, tough and made to take a beating.
This is one of Bluco’s knit flannel shirts. Material is 100% cotton, coming in a heavier weight that is ideal for the colder weather, layering, and manual work situations. Design elements are pretty straightforward and executed at a high level of quality. The weave of the fabric is probably the main appeal, where on close inspection this is the sort of high quality weave where you can see the individual threads woven together in the plaid pattern. Buttons are all custom and stamped. Hem is flat, allowing you to wear the shirt tucked or untucked, there is a partial lining along the shoulders, and there are even some subtle pockets hidden in the side seams.
Bluco is one of those labels that has garnered a cult following based on their intelligent, highly functional design that works across a wide variety of situations. They can be pretty hard to track down outside of Japan, but get a timeless piece here at a fraction of the retail price.
Size is labeled a medium and fits true. I measure the chest at 21.5” / 55cm, shoulders at 17” / 44cm, length at 26” / 66cm and sleeves at 22.5” / 57cm from the shoulder. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
