For sale here is a pair of work pants from the Bluco Work Garment label. Bluco is a Japanese label, heavily inspired by classic Americana and workwear. They make a lot of casual and workwear silhouettes, elevating the design and quality considerably in the process. Like the best workwear, everything is built heavy, tough and made to take a beating.
These pants come in Bluco’s “standard work pants” fit – a normal straight leg fit. Material is a classic 65% polyester, 35% cotton blend, the standard fabric you see for these kinds of work shirts and pants. This poly/cotton blend is well regarded for being highly resilient and ideal for work situations. A lot of interesting little details are included here as well. Waistband button is branded and there is a satisfyingly chunky zip fly. Waistband has brand and sizing printed on the interior, along with a woven fabric pull. Side pockets are reinforced at stress points and pocket fabrics are done in a nicely contrasting logo pattern. Rear has a logo tag and a snap button left pocket. Interior has an additional Bluco tag as well.
Bluco is one of those labels that has garnered a cult following based on their intelligent, highly functional design that works across a wide variety of situations. They can be pretty hard to track down outside of Japan, but get a timeless piece here at a fraction of the retail price.
Size is labeled an extra large and fits a 34” waist well. I measure the waist at 34” / 86cm, inseam at 30.5” / 79cm, rise at 12” / 31cm and leg opening at 8.25” / 21cm. The pants have some light wear but no holes, tears or stains.
