Engineered Garments shirt for sale here. Engineered Garments, designed by Daiki Suzuki and under the umbrella of Japanese company Nepenthes, manufactures their products exclusively in the United States, and almost entirely in New York City. Part of their design ethos is utilize some of the high quality materials and services available in the city and keep their factories going. One of their other main ideals is to update classic workwear pieces with a more modern approach. That’s often manifested in high quality materials, and sometimes more fashion-forward designs as well.

In this case we have a shirt in a solid gray brushed cotton. The fabric here is pretty substantial, like a flannel in weight, given a heavy brushing to make it very soft. The hand feel is something like a fleece and has a similar warmth, although this is 100% cotton. It is a pretty unique fabric. Silhouette is based on the classic work shirt, with dual chest pockets and a somewhat relaxed fit. EG sets it apart further by adding red reinforcements on the chest pocket stress points, a pen slot on the left pocket, and contrasting white buttons throughout.

This particular model is from their Intermediates line, which I believe is a precursor to their Workaday line. Like Workaday, the Intermediates line emphasizes highly resilient, classic work wear. These pieces are built tough and made for work, although easily work across a variety of situations.

Size is labeled a medium and fits true. I measure the chest at 20” / 52cm, shoulders at 17” / 43cm, length at 27” / 69cm and sleeves at 24” / 60cm from the shoulder. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in USA.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
