Fitwell brand flat head made in Japan knit shirt, size 38 (M)

$29.99

Up for sale here is a shirt from the Fitwell brand. Fitwell comes from Yuji Nakajima, owner of the Reddish Brown vintage and select shop in Tokyo. Nakajima is an expert in vintage clothing, referencing classic Americana here but with some updates with quality and fit. These classic Americana-looking brands are pretty popular in Japan and a good number of shops like this have their own house brands with very niche details and super limited availability.

This is a knit cotton shirt in a heavy weight, almost sweater weight, with a boat neck and three quarter sleeves. It makes for an excellent base layer, where you can easily put a tee on top and it will look good. Fabric is super high quality. These pieces are built tough and made to last. The current range of knitwear from Reddish Brown retails at about $250 in Japan alone but get it here at what is easily the cheapest price around.

Size is labeled a 38, fitting a standard medium well. I measure the chest at 19.5” / 50cm, shoulders at 20” / 51cm, length at 28” / 72cm and sleeves at 18” / 46cm. The shirt comes in lightly used, good shape. There is some fading of the color on the shoulders, as well as some minor fading throughout. That is part of the charm with these kinds of pieces, where the color should continue to pleasantly fade and develop with wear. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
