Up for sale here is a sweater from the Freemans Sporting Club label, done in collaboration with the Loopwheeler brand. Freemans Sporting Club is somewhere between a Japanese and an American label. They have bases in New York and Tokyo, and do manufacturing in both places. Design seems to skew more toward classic Americana, although it is often filtered through the uniquely Japanese aesthetic.
FSC often produces their knit sweats in collaboration with the Loopwheeler label, where you can only buy these pieces from Freemans Sporting Club. Design is very similar to Loopwheeler’s non-collab pieces, where this is basically their knit crewneck sweater, but the color and tags are different. Color is a unique and slightly washed out shade of blue. The label on the cuff is blue with blue text (rather than blue with white text for their own pieces), while the neck tag has the FSC logo and interior uses the Loopwheeler materials tag. This is one of those pieces that is built very tough, made to take a beating, and will only get better with age.
Size is labeled a medium and fits true. I measure the chest at 20.5” / 52cm, shoulders at 18” / 45cm, length at 25” / 63cm and sleeves at 24” / 61cm. The sweater comes in lightly used, very good shape. There is a minor bit of wear on the collar but otherwise no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $26.
