Jackman Japan black thermal cotton sweater, size M

$39.99

For sale here is a sweater from the Jackman label, a brand associated with the Tanabe Meriyasu factory out of Fukui. The Tanabe factory has been in operation since the late 1940s, originally as a manufacturer specializing in baseball goods. The Jackman label are more oriented around high quality basics, informed by vintage Americana and always building their pieces tough and made to last. Designs are timeless and the clothes will only get better with age.

This is a solid black sweater in 100% cotton in a thermal knit. The knit style is ideal for heat retention, making for a thick weave in a pretty typical pullover crewneck silhouette. The thermal knit makes this an ideal layering piece, easily working under a jacket or coat during the colder months. Jackman have also changed up the silhouette a bit, adding two smallish front pockets and elbow reinforcements.

This is the sort of sweater that is timeless in design and executed to the highest standard out there. Jackman is one of those labels with a strong cult following in Japan but very limited international distribution. Get a rare piece here at the cheapest price around.

Size is labeled a medium, fitting a bit slim but with some stretch to the fabric. I measure the chest at 19” / 49cm, shoulders at 17” / 44cm, length at 25” / 64cm, and sleeves at 23.5” / 60cm from the shoulder. The sweater comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
