Japan Blue jeans Momotaro indigo dyed zipped cotton cardigan, size M

$44.99

For sale here is a sweater from the Japan Blue jeans label. Japan Blue is one of the lines manufactured by Rampuya, the same company that does the Momotaro label. Both labels are very strongly jeans and indigo oriented, producing exclusively in the Kojima area of Japan, although Momotaro is probably more widely known and releases a fuller range. Japan Blue focuses pretty strongly on jeans and denim jackets, but the same high quality production standards are still very much there, as are the really detailed and unique fabrics. They’ve recently branched out a bit more, working on button down shirts, tees and sweaters as well.

This sweater uses a thermal style cotton knit. That is, the fabric is woven into a grid pattern that is naturally heat retaining, making this a good colder weather and layering piece. Normally you would see this kind of silhouette with a hood, although in this case Japan Blue has opted for a hoodless fit, basically a zipped cardigan. Front has a large zip, two side pockets with horizontal entry, and woven neck tag. Being Japan Blue Jeans, they have dyed the sweater in a dark shade of indigo blue. The dye is pleasantly uneven and should pleasantly fade and develop with wear.

Sweater is built tough and made to last, with a timeless design that will go with pretty much everything. These pieces are not cheap at retail, but get it here at the cheapest price around.

Size is labeled a medium and fits true. I measure the chest at 21” / 54cm, shoulders at approx. 18” / 46cm, length at 26.5” / 67.5cm and sleeves at approx. 24” / 61cm. The sweater comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears, stains or obvious signs of wear. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $26.
