For sale here is a shirt from Julius, in this case from their 2019ss collection. Like a number of other smaller Japanese labels, Julius always produces in limited quantities, putting a considerable amount of work and detail into each piece. They can be hard to come by even in Japan, and are even more difficult to come across elsewhere. Prices are similarly quite high.
What you have here is a piece very much in line with the Julius aesthetic, a graphic tee in a relaxed silhouette. Fabric is 100% cotton, called a “cotton dry jersey” on the tag. Color is a solid, dark shade of black, with fairly large sleeves and a graphic print on the back. The graphic references MMXIX, or 2019 in roman numerals, the “7” logo Julis uses and “Beelzebub”, the name of this collection. It is the sort of thing that easily fits in with Rick Owens or Boris Bidjan Saberi, and equally with Japanese peers like Devoa and the Viridi Anne.
Size is labeled a 2, fitting a somewhat relaxed medium. I measure the chest at 21” / 53cm, shoulders at 24” / 59cm, and length at 28” / 71cm. The shirt comes in lightly used, good shape. There are a few small abrasions to the fabric on the back, which I have photographed, but this is to be expected with this kind of light weight material. Otherwise with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
