For sale here is a shirt from Japan’s Kolor label. Kolor is another one of those brands that circles the Comme des Garcons universe. Original designer Junichi Abe worked for several major Japanese labels before founding Kolor in 2005 (he recently stepped down in 2025) and his wife Chitose Abe runs the Sacai label. With Kolor their emphasis is a sort of patchwork aesthetic combined with a lot of technical fabrics. They like to combine a variety of fabrics together, often leaving them partly deconstructed.
This is a graphic tee from Kolor’s 2021 spring-summer collection. Like much of their recent releases, the fit here is quite relaxed, with a wide body and a somewhat cropped length. The front has a Japanese language print with the characters jumbled together. Material is 100% cotton executed in a nice, high quality weave.
Aesthetics are pretty close in line with Sacai and the Comme des Garcons universe. Retail prices with Kolor are similarly expensive, where their current tee cost around $200 in Japan alone. This particular design is now completely sold out but get it here at a fraction of the retail price.
Size is labeled a 2, fitting a relaxed medium in this case, and can easily work for a large as well. I measure the chest at 23.5” / 60cm, shoulders at 20.5” / 50cm and length at 25” / 64cm. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape. There is a small stain toward the bottom of the back side but otherwise no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
