For sale here is a shirt from the And Wander label. And Wander is a somewhat newer Japanese brand, founded in 2011 by Keita Ikeguchi and Mihoko Mori, both of whom previously worked for Issey Miyake. Like Miyake, And Wander places a strong emphasis on unique textiles and a streamlined, futuristic design. Where they are a bit different is that they take this conceptual approach to a more outdoors-focused collection and aesthetic.
This shirt comes in a 60% cotton, 40% cordura nylon blend. The incorporation of nylon makes the fabric quite a bit more resilient while keeping a light weight. It is the sort of shirt that can work well hiking outside or in a more relaxed environment. Details include dual chest pockets, side hand pockets, side gussets, and a reflective label printed on the front. My personal favorite detail is the branded carabiner attached to the chest pocket that you can use to hold various things.
As you can hopefully see all elements are very well considered here and the quality is excellent. Retail was around $300 within Japan and cost even more abroad if you could find it. This model is now completely sold out but get it here at a fraction of the retail price.
Size is labeled a 2, fitting a relaxed medium or possibly a large. I measure the chest at 21.5” / 55cm, shoulders at 20” / 53cm, length at 27.5” / 70cm in front and 30” / 76cm, and sleeves at 21.5” / 55cm. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
