For sale here is a jacket from the Mister Freedom. Mister Freedom has been active quite a while now, fusing a totally unique mix of vintage inspired Americana with their own particular aesthetic. They essentially make vintage clothing that could have existed, but is actually their own thing. This jacket, like most of their collection, is manufactured by the Sugar Cane label in Japan.
This particular jacket is the “track master jacket” and comes from Mister Freedom’s 2021 fall-winter collection, called “podium”. All of Mister Freedom’s collections have their own particular theme, and with podium it was on recreating vintage style sportswear. The track master jacket draws its inspiration from 1970s warmup track jackets. This is the black and gold colorway, coming in a 100% cotton sweater weight fabric with a custom 1970s style zipper down the front, embroidered flag detail on the chest, and an extra pocket on the rear of the jacket for additional storage.
Mister Freedom produces some extremely high quality and detailed pieces. Quite a bit of care goes into their designs, with all aspects very carefully planned out. Retail on these jackets is $350, but get it here much more reasonably.
Size is labeled a large and fits true. I measure the chest at 21.5” / 54cm, shoulders at 18” / 45cm, length at 25” / 64cm, and sleeves at 25”/ 62cm. The jacket comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
