Post Overalls overdyed cotton shirt, made in Japan, size L

$34.99

Post Overalls is one of the longer-running Japanese-American hybrid brands. That is, Post Overalls has a Japanese designer, Tsuyoshi Obuchi, but are based in the United States and mainly produce their clothing in the US (and also Japan as with this shirt). There are increasingly more such designers, including engineered garments, yuketen, and battenwear, to name a few. Inspiration is firmly in classic Americana and vintage work, sports and military wear, done in their own particular aesthetic.

This is Post Overalls’ take on the classic crewneck long sleeved tee. The shirt seems to be pretty inspired by classic US work wear. Looking at the design I can’t help but think of vintage Carhartt shirts, although the materials and quality are elevated here considerably. For one, the dye of the shirt is pretty unique where you have a pleasantly uneven green overdye throughout. Aside from a logo tag on the chest pocket details are otherwise pretty minimal. This is a timeless design, one that will allow a large range of movement and will not restrict you. It is one of those pieces that will work with pretty much everything and is just different enough to keep it interesting.

Post Overalls is one of those labels that gives a great amount of consideration to all aspects of their clothing, manufacturing at a very high level of quality and making some vintage inspired yet totally unique designs. This model is now sold out, but get it here at a fraction of the retail price.

Size is labeled a large and fits true. I measure the chest at 21”, shoulders at 21”, length at 28” and sleeves at 25” from the shoulder. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
