Studio d’Artisan black flag parody t-shirt, size M (fits slim)

$29.99

For sale here is a t-shirt from Japan’s Studio d’Artisan label. SDA is one of the original “Osaka 5”, dating back to the late 1970s and holding a very strong influence over the Japanese denim/workwear industry. SDA was one of the first to actually manufacture jeans in Japan, were one of the first labels to put Japanese denim and workwear on the map, and they’ve consistently kept their quality and designs very high since.

In addition to jeans, SDA produces a full range of clothing including jackets, shirts and tees as you can see here. Their t-shirts often parody well-known graphics, usually incorporating their pig mascot. They have a whole series of tees reinterpreting classic Beatles artwork, for example, and lately they’ve been doing some Godzilla-inspired tees. This one is a take on the classic black flag logo, updated with SDA’s own little brand of humor. It’s a nice take and one that looks pretty close to the original on first glance.

Aside from the print, this is a quality tee as you would expect from SDA. Material is slightly heavier than a standard tee, and in this instance as you can see from the tags the material was made in the US and assembled in Japan.

Size is labeled a medium, although the fit is a bit slim in my opinion. I measure the chest at 19” / 49cm, shoulders at 17.5” / 44cm and length at 24” / 61cm. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.

Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
