For sale here is a shirt from Japanese brand Tangtang. Tangtang are on the newer side of things, starting in 2011 and based in Tokyo. Tangtang have a somewhat limited range, where they are all about producing graphic and printed t-shirts. Their graphic sensibility is very unique and they have garnered a pretty strong cult following in Japan.
In this case we have a long sleeve tee in a solid white base. Front has a graphic print with some questionable English, “Let’s go to the theater at tomorrow morning”, while the rear says “starring”. There are a few more subtle details as well – the front has a small logo in black on the left side, while the rear has an additional tag at the top.
Tangtang is one of those brands that fits in very well with Japan’s long history of streetwear and excellent, creative design. Quality is also excellent as you might expect. These pieces are pretty difficult to track down, especially outside of Japan, but get it here at the cheapest price around.
Size is labeled a large and fits true. I measure the chest at 21.5” / 54cm, shoulders at 19” / 49cm, length at 26” / 67cm, and sleeves at 25” / 64cm. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
