For sale here is a graphic print shirt from Japanese label Undercover. Designed by Jun Takashi, Undercover has been at the vanguard of Japanese fashion since 1990. In that time they have run a pretty wide range of design, but their collections are always inspired by music and popular culture, and quality is always excellent.
More recent Undercover collections have referenced classic science fiction films like 2001 a space odyssey and clockwork orange among others. This shirt has a sort of cryptic design reference but seems to fit in with that general category of references. In any case, Undercover’s strong design aesthetic is in full effect here, with six combinations of letters that look like something out of science fiction. Undercover has a consistently strong graphic sense, and the quality here is up to Undercover’s usual excellent standards.
Undercover is one of those labels that manufactures in very limited quantities and can be very difficult to track down outside of Japan. Even if you are able to find them, their designs often cost a small fortune. Get a rare piece here at the cheapest price around.
Size is labeled a 3, fitting between a medium and a large in this case. I measure the chest at 21” / 54cm, shoulders at 19” / 48cm and length at 25.5” / 65cm. The shirt comes in lightly worn, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
