Up for sale here is a shirt from the Uru label. Uru is a somewhat smaller-scale Japanese brand. They do not have any international distribution that I am aware of, making them largely unknown outside of Japan. Still, like many such labels they are well worth checking out. Quality is always excellent, with creative and intelligent designs.
This shirt comes from from Uru’s 2019 spring-summer collection. Design is inspired by the classic French Breton striped shirt, coming in a medium weight knit cotton fabric. Uru tends toward a more relaxed silhouette, running a close parallel to other conceptual Japanese labels like Kolor, Sacai or Aura Lee. Their designs tend to be on the more simplistic side, placing their emphasis on cut and high quality fabrics.
Fabric is 100% cotton, coming in a medium weight and ideal for year-round wear. A small twist comes with the neck, with an olive green detail giving the neckline a layered effect. These shirts currently retail in the neighborhood of $250 in Japan, even more abroad if you could find it abroad. Get it here at the cheapest price around.
Size is labeled a 3, fitting a large well. I measure the chest at 23.5” / 60cm, shoulders at 23” / 58cm, length at 27” / 69cm and sleeves at 21” / 54cm. The shirt comes in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
Shipping from Japan to anywhere will be $24.
