Up for sale here is a pair of pants from the Uru label. Uru is a somewhat smaller-scale Japanese brand. They do not have any international distribution that I am aware of, making them largely unknown outside of Japan. Still, like many such labels they are well worth checking out. Quality is always excellent, with creative and intelligent designs.
These pants come from Uru’s 2023aw collection. Like a lot of more recent Uru pieces this is a loose fitting pair of pants, nicely light and airy with a very nice drape. The execution is actually very similar to what Yohji Yamamoto does with his pants, with a very comfortable, low-fuss fabric. Material is 100% cotton and in spite of being from a winter collection they are very light in weight and ideal for the summer weather. Fabric has a very nice texture to it as well.
Front has two pleats, with a waistband button and zip fly. Waistband is lined in a cotton canvas on the interior, and features some quality construction details such as the belt loops being sewn into the waistband. Uru is one of those brands that you pretty much never come across outside of Japan. They have a cult following and continue to release some really interesting, high quality designs. Get a rare piece here at the cheapest price around.
Size is labeled a 2, fitting a 30 inch waist well. I measure the waist at 30” / 77cm, inseam at 27” / 69cm, rise at 11.5” / 29cm and leg opening at 9.5” / 24cm. The pants come in lightly used, very good shape with no holes, tears or stains. Made in Japan.
